loss of income. AcadGild is an ed-tech startup, which now reaches out to 220,000 students across
66 countries, helping working professionals pursue a higher education and remain relevant in the
job market, without having to take academic sabbaticals.
AcadGild's Vice President of Marketing, Leo VJ, knows a thing or two about delivering excellent customer service by making
informed choices. Leo believes that high-quality technical training is a basic human right, and with
his team of 135 employees, he's committed to empowering people by making it accessible, affordable,
engaging, and utilitarian for careers. AcadGild serves thousands of customers from across the globe,
and so Leo required an internationally compliant lead generation tool, that more importantly, could
be there to help their customers even when they weren't.
Conversational Lead Generation. Always available, always effective.
As Leo VJ tried and tested other solutions, he finally made his choice when he talked to Verloop's Vice President for Customer
Success, Juliana Hazarika. Juliana explained that what AcadGild needed was a mode of communication
that is applicable the world over. In her conversations with Leo, she explained that in most parts
of the world, people probably don't haphazardly send emails back and forth or spend their time taking
phone calls to have their doubts cleared. However, a common thread across the world is 'the conversation'.
People still talk to each other and go about correcting each other’s sentences. It’s fundamental.
Good information and lead generation software reflects how humans, not computers, deal with information.
With this in mind, Leo and Juliana started to build a Lead Generation bot for AcadGild. By establishing the blueprint for
what Verloop was supposed to do; generate leads based on collecting basic information like the customers'
name, their email ID and phone number. Once completed, Verloop has to qualify the lead based on the
applicants' interested course and subject. The bot then hands off the conversation to an 'academy
expert' who answers any more of the customers' queries. And all of this, happens all the time, in
international hours. Even when AcadGild's 'academy experts' aren't around, Verloop automatically
creates tickets, exports it to AcadGild's independent support desk and allows them to pick up the
conversation or query where it was left off.

The Verloop team is a big believer in the uselessness of forms and FAQ pages. But we also realize that not everyone is as
pragmatic as we are, and that they don't take kindly to our suggestions of just hitting delete on
